The second workshop block focuses on the coordination and cooperative further development of existing RDM training offerings. By systematically capturing and discussing aspects such as structure and modularization, ways will be explored to make these offerings scalable and collaboratively usable. The results aim to lay the foundation for an initiative to foster collaboration in the training of data stewards, in order to better connect generic and discipline-specific offerings at all levels.

The workshop promotes the long-term competency development of data stewards through networking within the RDM community at local, regional, and national levels. Using the Community Canvas Model and the “Gallery Walk” method, perspectives from different organizations will be incorporated, and initial networking results will be presented. The outcomes will be further developed with partners such as the AG RDM of TU9 and the NFDI to strengthen nationwide networking.

In this workshop, participants will learn how to communicate scientific content strategically and effectively on social media. In addition to an introduction to platforms, target audiences, and tools, the focus will be on developing and maintaining a long-term following. At the end, participants will create their own social media post and share it on a platform of their choice.

In this workshop block, quality criteria for educational materials on data literacy will be developed to ensure their suitability and relevance. After an introduction with examples, participants will discuss relevant attributes using the “Think-Pair-Share” method, which will be documented. These criteria are intended to contribute to the long-term quality assurance and curation of materials, thereby facilitating their use for the RDM community.
