Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the Research Data Day in Bremen – and what a fantastic day it was! Several colleagues from the first and second pillars of FDM-NDS were on site and followed the diverse program of the U Bremen Research Alliance with great interest.
We especially appreciated the warm encounters and open exchanges with our hosts in Bremen. These spontaneous conversations – often over a cup of coffee – are what tend to stay with us the longest.
A real highlight was the presentation of the Data Champion Award by the DataNord initiative. The winning project, Radar Data Viewer, impressed with its innovative approach to visualizing radar data. You can find more information about the project here:

Preparations are also in full swing here in Lower Saxony for this year’s FAIR Data and Software Award – and we’re very excited to see the submissions! Details on the call can be found here:

We’re taking home many new ideas – both in terms of content and for our own event planning. And yes, the FDM prize wheel really won us over – we definitely want to try that out at one of our next events!
A heartfelt thank-you to everyone who made this day so lively and inspiring.
