FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony 2025
On November 24, 2025, the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony was presented during the Data Days Lower Saxony. We would like to express our sincere thanks to Prof. Dr. York Sure-Vetter, who acted as patron for the award, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Manfred Krafczyk, Vice President for Digitalization and Sustainability at the Technical University of Braunschweig, for his motivating welcome speech, and Prof. Dr. Norbert Lossau from the Hochschule.digital Niedersachsen for the ceremonial presentation of the award to the winners.
The award was presented in three categories: Dataset and Software, each with prize money of €4,500, as well as a special prize, awarded for the first time, with prize money of €500.
