Datenmanagement für ethnographische Forschung: eine Orientierung
Dr. Barbara Löhde
Research data management (RDM) is no longer a marginal issue—even research grant applications now require a clear plan for handling research data. But what does RDM mean in concrete terms for ethnographic researchers? For whom are we making this effort – for the funding institution or for ourselves? The lecture will discuss key questions: How can the FAIR principles (findable, accessible, interoperable, reusable) be reconciled with the often sensitive, context-bound nature of ethnographic data? Do all field notes now have to be published? And how can data protection and data security be implemented in everyday research practice? The aim is to understand FDM as a tool that is not only relevant for funding, but can also contribute to the quality of ethnographic research as an integral part of good scientific practice.
