Data Days Niedersachsen 2025 brought together researchers, data stewards, library specialists, and other interested parties over three days in November, combining two days of in-person events in Braunschweig with a virtual theme day.
The program offered insights into current developments in the FDM-NDS state initiative, supplemented by a keynote speech on Hochschule.digital Lower Saxony and a presentation on the future of the NFDI.
A particular highlight was the presentation of the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony, which included a special prize for the first time, as well as the intensive exchange of ideas in the marketplace.
On the second day, several practical workshops were held—on RDM awareness, electronic lab books, and data engineering—in which specific needs, tools, and solutions were developed jointly.
