In diesem praxisnahen Format lernen Sie:
- Wie Sie den perfekten Einstieg für jede Zielgruppe finden,
- Methoden, um Teilnehmende aus der Passivität zu holen,
- Feedback gekonnt einzusetzen, um Ihre Veranstaltung ständig zu verbessern.
Packen Sie Ihren Methodenkoffer, um Ihre Präsenz- und Onlineveranstaltungen interaktiv gestalten zu können.

Online-Workshop: Working with GRO.data
Introduction to GRO.data, the research data repository of the Göttingen Campus. GRO.data is accessible or all researchers in Lower Saxony through the Academic Cloud and not limited to user from Göttingen. The tutorial introduces the usage of GRO.data alongside the basic concepts of research data management (data, metadata, data collection, data citation, persistent identifiers etc.). It shows how to log in, create a dataset, metadata, how to collaborate with peers. The format is a mixture of presentation and a hands-on session.Duration: 1,5 hour.
Participants will get to know and use the research data repository GRO.data. They will be able to upload data sets and files, add metadata, edit and publish them in the repository or prepare them for publication.
The identical workshop will also be held on 17.06.2025. See here for more information: https://academy.gwdg.de/p/events.xhtml?category=Software%20Application

FAIR Software Award FDM-NDS 2024: reflimR – Fast and transparent estimation of reference limits from routine laboratory results
The recipient of the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony 2024 in the „Software“ category will present insights into the published and award-winning software as well as their research in this talk. You can learn more about the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony 2024 at the homepage of FDM-NDS: https://fdm-nds.de/index.php/fair_award_2024/.
Abstract of the talk:
Reference intervals are a fundamental basis for interpreting medical laboratory data – they help to distinguish between “healthy” and “diseased”. By definition, they represent the central 95% range of laboratory results measured in healthy patients.
The R-package reflimR offers a fast and indirect approach for estimating reference limits from routine laboratory data. Even if the underlying data contains up to 25 % diseased individuals, reflimR provides robust results. The user-friendly Shiny application reflimR_Shiny enables these analyses even without programming knowledge.
In this presentation, you will not only gain a deep insight into the functionality and application of reflimR with practical examples, but also an outlook on current developments: With the new weighted sliding window method and the corresponding Shiny application reflimR_Sliding, reference limits can be estimated in relation to covariates such as age.

FAIR Data Award FDM-NDS 2024: Calibration of material models from full-field displacement measurements
The recipient of the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony 2024 in the „Dataset“ category will present insights into the published and award-winning data as well as their research in this talk. You can learn more about the FAIR Data and Software Award Lower Saxony 2024 at the homepage of FDM-NDS: https://fdm-nds.de/index.php/fair_award_2024/.
Abstract of the talk:
The calibration of material models is becoming increasingly important both in structural health monitoring and in the experimental characterization of new materials. Due to the high information density, calibration based on full-field data is attracting increasing interest. Together with research groups at TU Clausthal and ETH Zürich, we investigated parametric physics-informed neural networks for calibration of material models using full-field displacement data. In order to validate the method using real data, we conducted experiments and measured full-field displacement data using digital image correlation. In alignment with the FAIR principles, we have published the data together with our results and our research code. We look forward to sharing more about our research and the published data set in this talk.
